C Spire Wins Prestigious National Marketing Analytics Award Analytics boosted customer retention campaigns by 50%, driving millions of dollars in incremental margin C Spire received a major national award and a $50,000 cash prize for marketing analytics leadership from the Association of National Advertisers (ANA). C Spire was selected for the award by a seven-member panel of judges over two tech giants – business communications service provider Citrix and Intel, a global semiconductor manufacturer. C Spire was named the overall winner by an independent panel of current and former CMOs, top academics and industry leaders and by brand marketers at the ANA’s annual conference. Judges and marketers cited the company’s innovation, scientific rigor and the impact of marketing analytics on its overall operations as compelling reasons for its selection. “We’re thrilled and honored that our program was selected as a prime example of a new scientific approach that relies on data not only to drive the bottom line, but also to address fundamental business challenges and opportunities,” said David Hayes, vice president of Marketing for C Spire. Hayes said the cash prize will be donated to two of the company’s charities of choice – the American Heart Association and Operation Shoestring. Citrix and Intel won $25,000 each as the other two finalists and designated their prizes to non-profits Girls Who Code and UNICEF. The award was first established in 2013 by ANA, the Advertising Research Foundation and Marketing Science Institute as part of a $100,000 competition to spotlight companies that are leading the way in using analytics to improve marketing results and accelerate growth. Leading analytics technology company MarketShare is the award presenter and Advertising Age and Warc are media partners. “Using next-generation analytics has never been more important for companies to drive better business performance,” said Wes Nichols, CEO of MarketShare, presenter of the award. “C Spire displayed a highly impressive level of analytical rigor and innovation, which it used to drive outstanding results for the enterprise.” http://ift.tt/1DtbuPj

Last year, C Spire announced that nine cities in Mississippi would have the opportunity to become the firsts to have Fiber to the Home access.  Fiber to the Home will provide homes with Internet with a speed of 1000 Gigabits per second.  That’s 100x faster than what is currently available!

Today, we made a huge announcement.  C Spire has partnered with the city of Jackson to bring Fiber to the Home to the state’s capital and largest city.  City and community leaders as well as executives from C Spire held a press conference at the Jackson Convention Center to announce the big news.

Jackson Mayor Tony Yarber, Hu Meena, president and CEO of C Spire, Dr. Freddrick Murray, chief academic officer for high schools with Jackson Public Schools, and Duane O’Neill, president and CEO of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership all spoke about the benefits that Fiber to the Home will bring to Jackson.  Jackson is poised to become a hub of technological innovation and economic growth.
